Product Description Olympus has given the SP-570 UZ the worlds most powerful ultra zoom digital camera an extreme makeover by creating the new SP-565 Ultra Zoom, a smaller and lighter version with the same amazing precision-crafted 20x wide-angle telephoto zoom lens (26-520mm equivalent), but the ease-of-use of a point-and-shoot camera. Photographers searching for an even more portable and approachable ultra zoom to take anywhere will rejoice in the cameras new form factor, and with 10 million pixels and Dual Image Stabilization delivering superior, virtually blur-free images, the SP-565 UZ is proof that good things do come in small packages. The cameras enhanced Face Detection can now track up to 16 faces within the frame and optimize exposure even when subjects are moving, ensuring that family reunion group portraits will come out well-focused. In addition, the SP-565 UZ ensures sharp, brilliant images with a host of other features.

Superb sequential shooting January 7, 2009 Shawn Van Haren (Phoenix, AZ, USA) I searched several cameras for the feature of sequential shooting, as my main objective was getting a camera to capture athletic shots of my kids in action. This camera has lived up to the reviews that drew me to the purchase. I have come to really enjoy the 7 frames per second that the camera offers, while it has other options, such as 13 frames per second and 1.5 frames per second, the trade offs in photo quality make the 7 frames per second ideal for sports photography. It also has many other features that the amateur photographer can learn to utilize; therefore as a whole I've been completely satisfied.
Great Camera January 6, 2009 EW (Las Vegas, NV) I have had my SP-565UZ for two months now and used it in various conditions, indoor, outdoor, bright background, snow, cloudy and have found it to be very flexible. My pictures are getting better and better as I learn to use the many features of the camera. This was a major upgrade for me from my old Olympus C-700 UZ which I have had for 6 years.

I Love This Camera December 25, 2008 Shannon K. Carpenter 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
I just got this camera. It is so easy to use. It is light weight and the zoom works very well. The macro takes great close-ups. The battery life has been satisfactory. I have some quality portraits and some great snow scenes taken with the special scn settings. I highly reccommend it!
Pleased with my purchase - would recommend December 22, 2008 John M. Connell (Renton, WA USA) 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
I checked and read consumer group, professional, and average "Joe six pack" reviews until I realized that it was like choosing wine, if you like it, it's good. Well I like this camera. I bought it to get back some of the self determination and "artistic" choices that it affords unlike many "point & shoot" where you get what the camera gives you. The "UZ" has a powerful zoom capability combined with high resolution, without having to once again start packing around a suitcase full of optional lenses and such. It has plenty of features and options so that I can "participate" in the image formulation process as much or as little as I choose. In fact this camera has features that I will likely never use. In the little time that I have used the 565 camera I find that it takes great pictures, limited only by the person pushing the button. It is a size and form that fits naturally in my grip. I am looking forward to learning even more about the camera as I use the settings options in other situations. It provides you a multitude of options in a very small, easily portable package with enough information, for each option on the screen, that you don't need to memorize the manual. Nice controls layout that even works for big fingers. Thank you Olympus.
