Great Drive for the price January 6, 2009 Jose Velez (Lubbock, TX USA) I got this flash drive on Cyber Monday for $20 and free shipping. I couldn't be happier with it. It is fast and has the memory to back it up. I am a graphic designer so this little drive gets a ton of use. Highly recommend.
Just wow. January 1, 2009 J. Brainard (Warren, OH USA) I was browsing through Amazon.com one day looking for USB flash drives, and was astonished at what I saw. A major-brand 16GB flash drive for $25? I simply couldn't believe my eyes, especially considering the fact that I've seen the same size drives go for $80 or $90. I received it as a Christmas gift this year (2008,) and it's got to be the best storage device I've ever had. I have been able to transfer tons of videos, programs, and music with no problems at all, and it's really nice to not have to worry about running out of space with most things I need to transfer. I'm unsure about older versions of this drive, but mine has a small LED that indicates when the drive is being read from/written to, which is a must, in my book. I have very few gripes about this drive. Sure, it's not as fast as many smaller flash drives out there, but the capacity and the price more than make up for its speed. I don't even mind the tab that's used for extending the USB connector, as some people are concerned about. It seems solid and is designed with a low profile to minimize the possibility of accidentally opening the drive. I have a few SanDisk Cruzers that I wish were designed this way. All in all, I recommend this flash drive to anyone who has the need for large mobile storage at a better-than-reasonable price. I'll probably buy a couple more of these sometime this year, as a matter of fact. The price and functionality cannot be beaten!
Great For Quick Backups or On The Go File Storage December 28, 2008 Jamie Ratliff (Texas, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I own numerous USB Flash Drives, and although most of them still work okay, I find myself buying a new one every year or so since they keep getting bigger and cheaper. This Kingston 16GB model is a great value, and I like the retractable feature as opposed to worrying about using a cap. The device works perfectly right out of the box, and you can start using it immediately. The amount of data storage is great considering the amount of photos, videos, and music people have these days. I use this one to not only keep a portable copy of my music, but also to keep a few applications and documents I may need on other computers. Bottom Line: Great device that offers lots of storage, it's easy to use, works right out of the box, and is a great value for the money.
terrible design December 26, 2008 another buyer (Metro West, MA United States) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
Pros: Fast Cons: there is no lock when the drive is in the extended position so if the USB slot offers any resistance it slides back in. You have to keep pushing the slider mechanism to get it inserted into any USB slot properly. Also it has no cover so although the tip is protected from damage when it is retracted, it still gets dirty.

16 Gb of storage for under $30... what can I say? Kingston is a quality product. I bought this for my wife to store the photos from her digital camera. Works great.. fast too. She may also store some MP3 files to use at work with Windows Media Player. If mama is happy, everybody is happy...
