Got if for my 1st Generation Kindle September 25, 2009 Read Rover (FL) Being a lucky buyer of the 1st generation of Kindles I needed SD cards to store portions of my electronic library so that my device wouldn't get too cluttered. This card works like a charm and can hold about 200 full length e-books. Crazy, isn't it? I feel like a character in a Heinlein novel!
What speed are these cards? September 22, 2009 whosywhat (Maryland) Kingston does not publish any specs or class rating on these cards (or I couldn't find them.) So, you might expect that they would be kinda slow. The weird things is that it's kind random as to whether you get a pretty fast card or just a so-so card. In my experience, cards with labeled "JAPAN" average ~10MB/s write speeds while the ones labeld "TAIWAN" average only ~6MB/s write speeds.
Whether you get the JAPAN model or the TAIWAN model seems to be random, but lately we've been getting more of the TAIWAN model.
Kingston 2 GB Memory Card September 15, 2009 Sassiebabi (Southern Louisiana) Very good price. Holds about 600 photos. Would highly recommend. I purchased my second memory card as a backup.
Kingston Micro flash memory card September 15, 2009 D. Birdwell (Chester, NJ United States) I have had great success with this memory card. Was purchased primarily to be used in my LG Verizon phone. Works like a charm. The adaptor is a great added item as it allows me to easily insert the mirco card into it and then insert into my laptop. I can pull up my photos and print from my printer. The price is right too. I would definitely recommend to anyone needing the flexibility of a micro card and having instant access to an adaptor for laptops.
