I bought this LP-E6 Battery for a Canon 7D DSLR. It was delivered very quickly and I immediately used it for an airshow, taking over two hundred pictures. The battery lasted and continues to provide power.

The new battery for the EOS 7D is a bit expensive ($110.00 when I needed it),
but it has superb power(1800 mah)and gives the user great status feedback through the camera. Canon had embedded a chip in the battery that makes it difficult for the 'knockoff' folks to duplicate it at a more reasonable price.

I purchased this battery for my Canon 5 D Mark2. This OEM battery works perfect with my camera and it reconizes the voltage and type of battery.I would recommend using this battery
with Canon camera's. This unit holds the charge for a long time. There are other batteries that will fit our specific camera's but they are not as good as the original. Be aware the voltage
and the mah are not the same. For the extra money stay with the original and you will have peace of mind. Regards Ed Wilson

I don't like the fact that I HAVE TO BUY A CANNON battery so that I don't have to have another charger hanging around the house. Chipping a battery is just another cheesy way to gouge the customer. At least they gave us a "feature" to go with it, hence it deserves at least one star.
